<div class=newsTextDataWrapInner>KUALA LUMPUR (Nov 11): CAM Resources Bhd said its wholly-owned subsidiary Saluran Suriamas Sdn Bhd has received feed-in tariff approval from the Sustainable Energy Development Authority Malaysia (SEDA) for a 7MW renewable energy plant in Taiping, Perak.

In a bourse filing, CAM said the approval granted is for a period of 16 years, commencing no later than Dec 28, 2018. 
&nbsp; 
“The expected date of signing of the power purchase agreement (PPA) with Tenaga Nasional Bhd is January 2017 at a fixed tariff rate of RM0.3685 per kWh for 16 years,” it said. 
&nbsp; 
The company said it will be funding the construction of the power plant, through a combination of internally-generated funds and bank loan. 
&nbsp; 
It said the approval will not have any significant impact on its performance for the financial year ending Dec 31, 2016, but expects positive future earnings contribution for the 16-year period from Dec 28, 2018.

CAM’s share price closed unchanged at 32 sen, giving the company a market capitalisation of RM59.68 million.</div>
