KUALA LUMPUR (April 4): Bursa Malaysia Bhd’s foreign shareholding rebounded to 14.9% in March 2022 from its lowest on record of 14.4% in January and February 2022, according to the latest updates on the bourse operator and regulator's website.

According to Bursa' foreign shareholding chart which dates back to January 2016, the group's foreign shareholding had risen to its highest on record at 28.6% in March 2018 from 28% in February 2018.

In December 2021, Bursa's foreign shareholding stood at 14.5% before slipping to its lowest on record of 14.4% in January and February 2022, according to the group.

At the local bourse's Monday 12:30pm break, Bursa's share price rose five sen or 0.71% to RM7.14, giving the group a market capitalisation of about RM5.78 billion.

Bursa has 809.3 million outstanding shares as at Jan 31, 2022, according to latest updates on the group's website.

In a filing on Friday (April 1), Bursa said it has scheduled to release its financial results for the first quarter ended March 31, 2022 on April 28, 2022.
