KUALA LUMPUR (Oct 21): Bursa Malaysia Bhd's share-trade volume spiked past eight million securities on Thursday (Oct 20) to its highest in about a year, as the local bourse regulator and operator's share price closed down after a final-hour slump. 

At 5pm, its share-trade volume had spiked to 8.6 million securities from 1.2 million on Wednesday.

The stock closed down 12 sen at RM6 after the final-hour slump.

The share-trade volume of 8.6 million securities on Thursday was the highest in almost a year since Nov 1, 2021, when the figure stood at 19.28 million shares.
