KUALA LUMPUR (Jan 6): Bursa Malaysia Bhd’s foreign shareholding fell to the lowest on record at 14.5% in December 2021 from 15.1% in November, according to the latest updates on the bourse regulator and operator’s website. 

In October, the foreign shareholding stood at 16.7%, the group’s chart showed.

Bursa recorded its highest foreign shareholding of 28.6% in March 2018, according to the chart.

Bursa's latest-reported number of issued shares stood at 809.3 million, according to its latest quarterly financial report.

The group is scheduled to release its financial results for the fourth quarter ended Dec 31, 2021 on Jan 28, according to a filing on Monday (Jan 3).

At the time of writing on Thursday, Bursa’s share price was three sen or 0.47% lower at RM6.39, giving the group a market value of about RM5.17 billion.
