KUALA LUMPUR (July 26): Shares in Bintai Kinden Corp Bhd rose as much as 9.09% in the mid-morning on Tuesday (July 26), after it inked a memorandum of understanding with Medical Renewable Care Company under the trade name Nouveta to explore a collaboration providing mechanical and engineering solutions and services to the healthcare industry of Saudi Arabia.

At 10.58am, Bintai Kinden had pared some of its gains, and was up 4.55% or half a sen at 11.5 sen, with 39.18 million shares done. The stock earlier rose to a high of 12 sen.

In a bourse filing on Monday, Bintai Kinden said its sub-subsidiary Johnson Medical International Sdn Bhd (JMI) had signed the deal which encompasses future expansion in Dubai.

It said JMI specialises in the design, manufacture and installation of customised hospital support system equipment and provision of nursing home services.

The company said Nouveta, which is based in Jeddah, provides healthcare-related products and services to doctors, hospitals and pharmacies.
