KUALA LUMPUR (Nov 17): Shares of Bina Goodyear Bhd will be delisted from Bursa Malaysia coming Thursday, following the regulator’s dismissal of its appeal against the delisting.

In a filing with Bursa Malaysia today, Bina Goodyear announced that its securities will be removed from the Official List of Bursa Securities on Thursday, Nov 20
as per listing requirements.

The construction company’s proposed regulation plan was rejected by Bursa Malaysia in August, and it subsequently submitted an appeal to the regulator against the rejection.

The construction company’s audited financial statements for the financial year ended June 30, 2014 had contained a disclaimer opinion by its external auditors.

Shareholders of the company who intend to hold their securities in the form of physical certificates can withdraw these securities from their Central Depository System accounts after the delisting.

“Upon the de-listing of the company, the company will continue to exist but as an unlisted entity.

“The company is still able to continue its operations and business and proceed with its corporate restructuring and its shareholders can still be rewarded by the company’s performance,” it said.

Bina Goodyear was last traded at seven sen prior to its suspension.
