KUALA LUMPUR (July 1): Berjaya Corp Bhd declined as much as 2.4% on news of a larger fourth quarter net loss from a year earlier.

At 11:28am, diversified entity Berjaya Corp (fundamental: 0.9; valuation: 2) dropped one sen to 40 sen, with some 3.4 million shares having exchanged hands.

Yesterday (June 30), Berjaya Corp said it registered a net loss RM274.97 million in the fourth quarter ended April 30, 2015, from a net loss of RM250.45 million. Revenue decreased to RM2.33 billion, from RM2.47 billion.

For the full year, the group posted a net profit of RM861.8 million, compared with a net loss of RM148.92 million.

According to Berjaya Corp's website, the group's businesses include real estate, gaming and education.
