KUALA LUMPUR (Nov 15): BCM Alliance Bhd has clinched a contract worth RM19.68 million for the supply and testing of medical support services equipment at specified government clinics.

In a filing with Bursa Malaysia today, BCM Alliance said its wholly-owned subsidiary, Maymedic Technology Sdn Bhd, signed the deal with Quantum Medical Solutions Sdn Bhd (QMS), a biomedical equipment maintenance and management company.

BCM Alliance will further provide comprehensive maintenance service for biomedical equipment. These equipment and maintenance services will be supplied and provided over a three-year period based on the roll out plan as set out in the contract.

"The contract is not expected to have any material effects on the share capital and shareholding structure of the company. However, it is expected to have positive contribution to the earnings per share and net assets per share of BCM group," it added.

A quick check on QMS's website shows that its directors consist of Datuk Mohd Ali Abd Samad and Datuk Khairuddin Mohd Sari.

Mohd Ali sits on the board of Perbadanan Nasional Bhd, Bank Simpanan Nasional Bhd, ECM Libra Bhd, Tabung Haji Properties Sdn Bhd and New Pantai Expressway Sdn Bhd.

Meanwhile, Khairuddin has served in the Human Resources Department, Ministry of Information, Commercial Vehicle Licensing Board, and the Ministry of Public Enterprise. He is also actively involved in various agricultural projects.

BCM Alliance closed 0.5 sen or 1.37% higher at 37 sen for a market value of RM413.83 million.
