KUALA LUMPUR (July 22): Aluminium Co of Malaysia Bhd (Alcom) jumped as much as 9.5 sen to 80 sen, after the company announced its first interim dividend of five sen a share for financial year ending March 31, 2016.

At 12:30pm today, Alcom (fundamental: 2.25; valuation: 1.8) pared gains to settle at 79 sen, with 294,600 shares having changed hands. At 79 sen, Alcom has a market capitalisation of RM106.1 million.

Yesterday (July 21), Alcom announced the ex-date for the 5% dividend falls on upcoming August 3. Alcom shares have a par value of RM1 each.

The dividend payment date is August 20.
