KUALA LUMPUR (May 12): AirAsia X Bhd (AAX) has extended the travel period of its AirAsia Unlimited Pass by another three months to June 30, 2021, from March 2, 2021 initially.

In its Facebook post today, AAX said the extension will give Malaysia-based AirAsia BIG members who had purchased the pass between Feb 29 and March 7 this year more time to plan their travels when the time is right.

In February, the low-cost long-haul airline had launched the AirAsia Unlimited Pass — a RM499 one-year pass (excluding taxes and fees) for unlimited trips to Australia, Japan, South Korea, China and India — to boost cash flow.

The AirAsia Unlimited Pass is redeemable only on AAX and Thai AirAsia X flights bearing Carrier Code D7 and XJ, respectively.

At 2.34pm today, AAX shares were down 0.5 sen or 4.76% at 10 sen, bringing a market capitalisation of RM414.81 million.
