KUALA LUMPUR (Dec 21): AirAsia Bhd's aircraft for flight AK12 from Chennai, India, "experienced a deflated tyre" upon landing at klia2 this morning.

Budget airline AirAsia said via Twitter today flight AK12's passengers and crew were safe.

"AirAsia confirms that AK12 from Chennai experienced a deflated tyre upon landing at klia2 this morning.

"All guests and crew are safe and have been disembarked. We apologise for the discomfort experienced by our guests," AirAsia said.

At 11:24am, AirAsia Bhd shares fell five sen or 2% to RM2.35 for a market value of RM6.53 billion. The 10th most-active stock on Bursa Malaysia saw some eight million shares traded.
