KUALA LUMPUR (July 11): AETN All Asia Networks Pvt Ltd's portfolio of channel brands will continue to have carriage in Malaysia and Brunei after being fully acquired by A&E Television Networks Llc (A+E Networks).

This is through agreements with Astro Malaysia Holdings Bhd.

AETN All Asia Networks is the operator of the History, History HD, Bio and the Crime and Investigation channels.

The US-based A+E Networks in a statement today said prior to the ownership change, AETN All Asia Networks will be rebranded as A+E Networks Asia, and the management team will report to A+E Networks Asia-Pacific Managing Director, Alan Hodges.   

Formed in 2007, AETN All Asia Networks is a joint venture between A+E Networks and Astro Overseas Ltd.

The company operates and distributes its portfolio in Singapore, Malaysia, Brunei, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Cambodia, Indonesia, the Philippines, Macau, Papua New Guinea, Myanmar, Laos, Vietnam, Palau and Thailand.

It also manages the broadcast of History HD in Korea.
