KUALA LUMPUR (Aug 25): Aemulus Holdings Bhd has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with an American company to develop a system to test semiconductor products.

The semiconductor testing services provider said that under the MoU between its wholly-owned unit Aemulus Corporation Sdn Bhd and San Diego-based Peregrine Semiconductor Corp, the two sides will work together to produce a microwave test subsystem.

This subsystem will be integrated into the group's existing system known as Aemulus Amoeba™ AMB7600 Teste, Aemulus added in a filing to Bursa Malaysia.

"There is no contract value stated as this MoU serves as an intention of the parties to collaborate to develop the system," said Aemulus. "Unless otherwise mutually agreed in writing, this MoU shall be terminated on the second anniversary of the effective date."

Peregrine is the founder of radio frequency silicon on insulator (SOI) and is a leading fabless provider of high-performance, integrated RF solutions.

Aemulus' share price was unchanged at 26.5 sen as at 4.47pm, valuing the group at RM438.85 million.
