KUALA LUMPUR (Dec 15): Business process outsourcing solutions provider Advance Information Marketing Bhd (AIM) said employee fraud and control deficiencies have been found at its wholly-owned Indonesian unit, PT CLS System, based in Jakarta.

In a bourse filing on Wednesday (Dec 15), AIM said the subsequent findings of an internal audit further confirmed the employee fraud, and that PT CLS has lodged a police report over the issue.

AIM has also appointed BDO Consulting Sdn Bhd as forensic auditor to carry out an independent forensics audit.

Meanwhile, it said PT CLS' management had conducted disciplinary proceedings and terminated those identified to be involved in the fraudulent activities.

The financial impact of the issue on the group can only be ascertained upon completion of the forensics audit, AIM added.

AIM’s shares settled half a sen or 4.55% higher at 11.5 sen on Wednesday, bringing the group a market capitalisation of RM29.32 million.
