PETALING JAYA (Aug 24): In conjunction with the patriotic months of August and September, Vanke Malaysia organised a campaign — Senyum Malaysia — to spread smiles during this challenging time.

In a statement, the developer said the campaign aims to represent the spirit of togetherness of Malaysians and is also dedicated to bringing back joy and happiness for everyone. Managing director Lang Cong said: "Vanke has established itself in Malaysia four years ago, and in light of Vanke’s Hello Malaysia, we have witnessed the beauty of unity of all Malaysians from all walks of life.

"However, the happening of the global pandemic has created a sombre mood and many of us are facing challenging times today. We see the need to come together as a community, helping one another to ride through the storm. That’s why we have decided to start the next chapter Senyum Malaysia campaign."

To run from Aug 16 to Sept 8, the campaign hopes to collect 1,000 photos with special smiling hand gestures from all Malaysians. In addition to introducing more happiness to the community, a series of activities and cash prizes will be organised on Vanke MY Facebook.

With every photo collected, Vanke Malaysia will donate RM10 to Mercy Malaysia. As a token of appreciation to all participants, a huge collage of Senyum Malaysia photomosaic will be created and will then be presented on Vanke’s social media page as a special gift and a meaningful way of celebrating the coming Malaysia Day.
