KUALA LUMPUR (March 5): Managing director and partner at Boston Consulting Group (BCG) Nurlin Mohd Salleh’s life is underlined by efficiency and effectiveness, as she has four kids, 170 staff and a newfound running hobby to manage. “Finding that balance can be mentally, physically and emotionally exhausting,” she says, but she’s glad things are changing. Society in general is more accepting of this situation now, even in big organisations, as long as one can juggle and balance. The Cambridge graduate in manufacturing engineering shares how she rose through the ranks at BCG to find great satisfaction and meaning in everything she does.

In our International Women’s Day Special, we speak to high-achieving women about their transformative journey in the workplace as well as all the highs, lows and the whole nine yards. Read the inspiring stories of Eusnie Arshad (managing director — structured financing of China Construction Bank), Nicole Yap (co-founder of 8sian), Catherine Wong (executive director — finance and admin of Powerwell Holdings Bhd), Leanne Ooi (CEO and founder of Rentwise Sdn Bhd) and Nurul A’in Abdul Latif (first female executive chair of PwC Malaysia, to succeed current executive chairman in July 2023) as told to Options.

Not to be missed is our coverage on Fairmonde, a golf wear label for women founded by Joanne Chin and Jacqueline Lau. What started out as a brand to fill in a gap in the market, the dynamic duo hopes it will gradually morph into a movement that will help aspiring golfers find coaches, clubs and clinics to grow their passion. Also expect programmes for players of different experience levels, including beginners, athletes, ambassadors and professionals to be thrown in for good measure. This is definitely one brand to look out for if you’re into golfing!
