The minister also updated that a total of 18,880 applications for RM1.69 billion in subsidies have been approved for chicken farmers and egg producers as of Feb 15.

On Feb 16, Mohamad had said 1,638 applications had been approved from the start of the subsidy programme on Feb 5 till Feb 13, involving RM553.19 million worth of subsidies, to help producers overcome the increase in production costs.
