KUALA LUMPUR (Jan 18): Bintai Kinden Corp Bhd has redesignated its executive director Ku Chong Hong as managing director, effective Wednesday (Jan 18).

He was first appointed to Bintai Kinden’s board as an executive director 11 months ago, on Feb 24, 2022.

In 2019, he was the group accountant in June before being appointed head of finance and accounts two months later in September.

He has over eight years of experience as an auditor with exposure to audit and assurance as well as business advisory in a broad spectrum of industries such as property development, construction, manufacturing, trading, poultry, agriculture, aquaculture, service provider, trading of software and real estate.

Besides Bintai Kinden, Ku is also a director of Sarawak Consolidated Industries Bhd and Malaysian Genomics Resources Bhd.

“Bintai Kinden will continue to focus on our core business in the mechanical and electrical engineering segment and endeavour to secure more opportunities and recurring projects in Malaysia which are able to contribute positively to the future earnings of the group,” he said in a statement.

At the time of writing on Wednesday, Bintai Kinden was unchanged at 9.5 sen, with a market value of RM73.55 million.
