KUALA LUMPUR (Jan 15): From a car park operator, SCP Group has gone on to make a name for itself in the property development industry. It is stepping up its efforts this year, with four planned launches in the Klang Valley: three in Kuala Lumpur (Kensho Residence in Taman Danau Desa, The Societe in Desa Sri Hartamas and a currently unnamed project in Setapak, the details of which are still being finalised) and one in Selangor (Mosaic Phases 1 and 2 in USJ).

The first to be officially launched in 2023 is Kensho Residence with a group development value of RM219 million. It is a leasehold project consisting of 310 serviced-apartment units on a 0.77-acre parcel in Taman Danau Desa. These units are sized from 456 to 1,034 sq ft in various layouts ranging from one bedroom to 3+1 bedrooms and two bathrooms. The selling price starts from RM563,000.

In the same issue, we have a My Space column that discusses property investment, and we speak to Rahim & Co (Sabah) on how the housing market in Kota Kinabalu performed in the third quarter of 2022. We also look into Knight Frank Research's Asia-Pacific Outlook report.

Read all about it in the Jan 16 issue of City & Country.
