KUALA LUMPUR (April 27): Malaysia Marine and Heavy Engineering Holdings Bhd (MHB) has inked a strategic alliance with Singapore-headquartered Dyna-Mac Holdings Ltd for a consortium agreement to cooperate and jointly bid on targeted international projects.

The deal was signed between Malaysia Marine and Heavy Engineering Sdn Bhd and Dyna-Mac Engineering Services Pte Ltd.

In a statement on Wednesday (April 27), the firms said the partnership will jointly offer one-stop solutions for module fabrication, vessel conversion and integration works as well as other projects of mutual interest.

MHB chief executive officer (CEO) Pandai Othman said the strategic alliance will allow the group to bring the powerful combination of its capacity and capability and Dyna-Mac’s experience in the market segment to jointly support customers’ demand.

Meanwhile, Dyna-Mac CEO and executive director Lim Ah Cheng said that through the agreement, Dyna-Mac will be able to increase its capacity to execute projects beyond its Singapore yards, while MHB will be able to capitalise on its yard capacity and capability to support in realising a shared vision and addressing market demands.

At 10.55am on Wednesday, MHB was 1.22% or half a sen lower at 40.5 sen, with 437,500 shares traded.
