Malaysia Airlines’ travel and lifestyle loyalty programme Enrich is thrilled to further extend its Enrich Points validity to Dec 31, 2022, while also extending its Elite status for another year until March 2023, to give its members more flexibility to enjoy their Elite Tier benefits.

Malaysia Airlines says in a statement that the changes are applicable to members who have not requalified for their current status this year.

“These bold steps position Enrich as one of the leading loyalty programmes in the world to provide such flexibility to its members, having extended the validity of its points several times since the onset of the pandemic, for a cumulative 33 months from March 2020 until December 2022,” says the airline.

The changes were also timely, the statement says, as members are gearing up to travel again following the reopening of domestic travel and can now continue to enjoy their Tier benefits.

Malaysia Airlines has also recently opened up flights under the Malaysia-Singapore “Vaccinated Travel Lane” to facilitate seamless travel between the two countries.

Meanwhile, members holding Golden Lounge access vouchers expiring in November next year will now be able to use them for their upcoming travels until the end of 2022.

Following steady growth in passenger volume, Malaysia Airlines recently opened its Domestic Golden Lounge at Kuala Lumpur International Airport.

Moreover, Enrich is making it easier for members to retain or fast-track their status, with a 30% reduction in Tier qualification for 2022.

To retain or upgrade to Platinum status, members would require 70 Elite Points; for Gold status, 42 Elite Points; and for Silver, 21 Elite Points.

Hence, from Jan 1, 2022, to Dec 31, 2022, Enrich Gold members need to earn only 42 Elite Points to requalify as Gold status or 70 Elite Points to be upgraded to Platinum status for 2023.

“We are delighted to announce this much-anticipated news ... to ensure that members can continue to enjoy their Enrich privileges,” says Malaysia Airlines Group Chief Marketing and Customer Experience Officer Lau Yin May. “We understand that these have been trying times, hence we hope to make things better by providing more flexibility and convenience for Enrich members, especially when [they are] making travel plans.

“Our members are our top priority, as always ... this is our way of recognising and appreciating their loyalty all these years. This gesture, which is an extension of our Malaysian hospitality, is also one of the first [such benefits] in the airline loyalty world.”

Lau adds, “At the same time, we are truly committed to our members’ needs. Therefore, we are also constantly onboarding more of our earn-and-redemption partners as we strive to be the most preferred travel and lifestyle loyalty programme in the market.”

Enrich members are encouraged to make the most of their Enrich Points by redeeming flight tickets on Malaysia Airlines and partner airlines as well as hotel stays via www.enrichhotels.com.

Enrich Points can also be redeemed for a host of activities by lifestyle partners on Enrich’s vibrant redemption catalogue, ranging from experiential dining at top-rated hotels, healthcare checks and wellness treatments, shopping for holiday styles, exploring outdoor activities or even making e-donations to charitable organisations.
