KUALA LUMPUR (Aug 26): Germany-based automotive parts manufacturer ZF Friedrichschafen AG expects “high single-digit” yearly sales growth in 2014, for its operations in the Asia Pacific region.
For 2013, the group reported sales revenue of €3 billion (RM12.5 billion) for the Asia Pacific region, out of its total global sales of €16.8(RM70.2 billion).
“We are expecting high single digit growth, not only in Malaysia, but for the whole of Asia Pacific,” said Siew Chee Kok, managing director of ZF Sales & Service Sdn Bhd, during a meet and greet session yesterday with the media.
He indicated that the group expects new vehicle sales in Malaysia to exceed 600,000 units in 2014, based on recent market statistics.
“With this trend, I think the potential for ZF in Malaysia is great. Malaysia is an important market for the Asia Pacific Region,” he added.
