<div class=newsTextDataWrapInner><p>Schneider said Kim will focus on high-growth potential areas such as microgrids, while also helping clients within the cluster operate more sustainably.</p></div>

<div class=newsTextDataWrapInner><p>Prior to his tenure at Schneider Electric, Kim has also held other leadership positions at a multinational conglomerate company.</p></div>

<div class=newsTextDataWrapInner><p>Having worked in North America, South Korea, Brazil, and Vietnam, he brings his extensive professional experience, as well as a deep understanding of cultural differences to his new role.</p></div>

<div class=newsTextDataWrapInner><p>Meanwhile, the previous cluster president, Damien Dhellemmes, will now be taking up a new role as senior vice president for digital energy — commercial at Schneider Electric.</p></div>

CIMB Thai Bank PCL’s net profit for the first quarter ended March 31, 2024 (1QFY2024) dropped 24.6% year-on-year to 626.1 million baht from 830.1 million baht, as it reported lower operating income and higher expenses.  

The group recorded an 8.4% drop in operating income and an 11.8% increase in operating expenses. The effects of these were partially offset by a 36.9% decline in expected credit loss, according to CIMB Thai president and chief executive officer Paul Wong Chee Kin in a statement. CIMB Group Holdings Bhd has a 94.83% interest in CIMB Thai.
