KUALA LUMPUR (Aug 19): Cycle & Carriage Bintang Bhd (CCB) said its chief executive officer Datuk Wong Kin Foo will be stepping down from Aug 31 to pursue other interests and opportunities outside the company.

In a filing with Bursa Malaysia today, CCB said Wong, 50, will serve out his notice period and take accumulated leave. His last day of employment will be Sept 30.

Meanwhile, the board of directors has appointed its director of operations Ramasamy Devaraju to manage the day-to-day operations of the company from Sept 1 until a permanent successor is announced.

Wong has been with CCB Group since 1996 and last held the position of chief operating officer. He assumed his current post on March 1, 2010, responsible for CCB Group's motor operations in Malaysia.

CCB's share price closed three sen or 0.94% higher at RM3.24 today, giving it a market capitalisation of RM326.41 million.
