(Dec 4): PKR secretary-general Rafizi Ramli has used the lyrics of a popular Singaporean song to ask the whereabouts of Datuk Seri Najib Razak, as the prime minister was absent from Parliament yesterday to answer questions on the RM2.6 billion donation.

In a Facebook posting, Rafizi said after having asked about the RM2.6 billion in a consistent campaign since the tabling of the federal budget by Najib, he would now start to ask Najib: “Where are you? (Awak Kat Mana?)”

The lyrics are from a popular Singaporean song “Awak Kat Mana” by Taufik Batisah.

The Facebook post was accompanied by a picture of Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Ahmad Zahid Hamidi answering questions on the donation instead, with a cut-out of Najib's empty seat next to him.

The cut-out was accompanied by the 1Malaysia Development Berhad (1MDB) logo and the words “Awak Kat Mana”.

Rafizi said Malaysia had waited for a “Bugis warrior”, a reference Najib made to himself before, to appear in Parliament.

“But the Bugis warrior hid behind the deputy prime minister and the explanation was only three minutes.

“We still do not know who the donor is. So apart from asking where the money is, we need to ask, ‘Where are you?’” he said.

The money was alleged by The Wall Street Journal to have come from firms linked to 1MDB, but Putrajaya denied this and instead said it was a political donation from an unidentified benefactor in the Middle East. – The Malaysian Insider
