Seafood extravaganza

Seafood lovers should indulge in The Courtyard’s Seafood Extravaganza dinner buffet that runs until the end of November. Enjoy an incredible range of offerings including live oysters, green mussels, tiger prawns, clams, scallops, yabbies and even house-cured salmon and Alaskan king crab. The chefs have also concocted a hot dish menu which features seafood as well as chicken and beef. There is also a delicious spread of Malay and Nyonya ‘kuih-muih’, and an exciting ice cream bar. This fresh seafood buffet is available today and tomorrow from 6.30pm to 10.30pm for RM88 for adults and RM45 for children. The Magic flute

Catch Die Zauberflöte or The Magic Flute, a two act opera by Wolfgang Amadeus and a German liberetto by Emanuel Schikaneder. First gracing the stage in 1791 at the Freihaus-Theater auf der Wieden in Vienna, this incredible opera tells the story of Tamino, a prince, who is challenged with a series of tests with his sidekick Papageno. Completing these tests will win him the hand of princess Pamina. He also battles Pamina’s mother, the evil Queen of the Night. Presented by Kuala Lumpur City Opera, the show is on until Sunday at 8pm. Tickets today are RM148 or RM128, whilst tickets tomorrow and on Sunday are RM168 or RM148. Kenny Sebastian

LOL Asia and Adrian Bohm present Kenny Sebastian’s new show The Most Interesting Person in the Room. As India’s new hottest comic, Sebastian is known for seeing humour in the most mundane. Based in Bangalore, his brand of comedy will have you laughing all night long. He has toured with sold-out shows across US, Canada, Australia and India. Beatles tribute

Are you a fan of The Beatles? Check out One Night Only: The Beatles Tribute on Sunday, which is part of The Bee’s monthly tributes dedicated to music legensds of the past. As iconic pop musicians of their time, The Beatles have heavily influenced our music sensibilities with hits like All You Need Is Love, Come Together and Yesterday. Emily Saves The Orchestra

Treat your children to a fun-filled musical adventure with Emily Saves The Orchestra. Emily needs your help to defeat Cacopholous, an evil monster whose aim is to spread darkness and noise. Her mission is to fight this monster with the incredible music of Beethoven, Rossini, Tchaikovsky and more. This adventure includes the Malaysian Philharmonic Orchestra, lead by conductor Gene Chang. Naiise’s Makers’ Market

Launching their first Makers’ Market at The Godown KL, Naiise is undertaking their second collaboration with Urbanscapes. Running tomorrow and on Sunday, this market features 20 creative makers, 10 each from Malaysia and Singapore. Few brands to look forward to include Mossery, Seniman Kakao, TinyPinc Miniatures and much more. As part of the festivities, there are two workshops on Sunday that you can take part in: a succulent guide workshop by Jacktus from 2.30pm to 5pm, and a leather crafting workshop by Leather Society Co at 11am and 3.30pm. Kwai Chai Hong workshops

There are numerous fun classes you can take part in this weekend at the heart of town. Tomorrow there is a modern Chinese calligraphy session from 10am to 2pm for RM150. Included are light refreshments, one brush pen, practice sheets, and a set of postcards. From 2.30pm to 5.30pm there is a watercolour whimsical florals workshop where you will learn how to sketch and compose illustrative florals and watercolour techniques. This class is RM170 and includes step-by-step techniques and refreshments. On Sunday from 10am to 1pm is a miniature world in glass workshop perfect for beginners to learn how to create your own terrarium for RM88. Hot air balloon flower box arrangement

Try a flower arrangement class with a twist. Learn how to arrange beautiful flowers in a box and assemble it with a balloon that can contain the words of your choice.
