Power and Poetry

Legendary pianist Mikhail Pletnev plays with the Malaysian Philharmonic Orchestra in Power and Poetry. Tomorrow evening at 8.30pm, Fabio Mechetti will conduct the orchestra through Beethoven’s Fidelio Overture and Piano Concerto No 3, as well as Bartók’s Concerto for Orchestra. This performance, filled with works of stormy emotions and poetic lyricism, is not one to miss. Tickets are RM56, RM84, RM113 and RM141. Patriotism and Joyful Sacrifice

Catch the 17th chapter of the Selangor Philharmonic Orchestra’s performance. The title for this instalment is Patriotism and Joyful Sacrifice. Tomorrow at 8pm, the orchestra will play Suppe’s Light Cavalry Overture, Paganini’s Violin Concerto No 1, and Beethoven’s Symphony No 7. The Music of Abba
