Broken Nails: A Marlene Dietrich Dialogue 
This performance features acclaimed Polish artist Anna Skubik performing Marlene Dietrich’s last days of living in her Paris apartment using puppetry. With the help of a life-sized doll as Dietrich’s image and as an actress playing Dietrich’s nurse, this one-woman play explores the themes of fame, love, beauty and death through this performance. The play is written and directed by Romuald Wicza-Pokojski, and has received critical acclaim on the international theatre scene. Broken Nails: A Marlene Dietrich Dialogue will be on at 8.30pm tomorrow and on Sunday at Penang City Hall, Jalan Tun Syed Sheh Barakbah. Tickets are priced at RM80, RM64 and RM40. The Crescent Moon: Sharing the Same Moon 
Don’t miss out on the chance to catch this exhibition, which gives insight into the similarities and differences of people with the same faith. It displays intimate photographs and personal narratives showcasing people of two countries, who are both Muslims. One part of the exhibition gives voice to a community of Indian Muslims within the Kapitan Keling Mosque community, whose lives are deeply connected to the mosque, and also showcases the everyday lives of New Zealand Muslims. With the help of Mas Mohd Farid Rahman and New Zealand writer Adrienne Jansen, this exhibition highlights the shared beliefs of these individuals who come from vastly different backgrounds. The Crescent Moon: Sharing the Same Moon will be running until Aug 31 at Dewan Makam Nordin, Kapitan Keling Mosque, 14 Jalan Buckingham. Opening hours are 10am to 6pm daily, and admission is free .

Dance Your Life 
Take part in this unique dance workshop if you happen to be in Penang this weekend. Krisztina Mezosi will lead participants through a series of dance movements, while Lusy Decoursey will then guide them through a visual arts exercise. This workshop gives people the chance to reimagine their everyday routines and make them understand how they visualise the world around them. Participants are advised to wear clothing which they can easily move in. The workshop starts at 10.30am tomorrow at Let’s Dance! Studio, 32 Light Street, George Town. The Tailor Made Man follows Joseph, who is thrown into dire circumstances after his brothers hatch a plot to get rid of him. With the identity of a mysterious Tailor haunting his dreams daily, Joseph goes through the different garments of his life to make sense of all that is happening to him. He finds answers to his questions in the most unexpected ways. The show runs from today to Sunday at 3pm and 8pm at Petaling Jaya Live Arts, Jaya One, Jalan Universiti, PJ. MacBeth: A Musical Theatre 
If you are a fan of the Bard, catch MacBeth: A Musical Theatre tomorrow. Theatre students from Taylor’s University’s ADP/School of Liberal Arts & Sciences present Shakespeare’s most famous tragedies in musical theatre form, marking their first full-scale theatre production at Taylor’s. Considered as one of Shakespeare’s darkest and powerful works, Macbeth is a tragedy that highlights the psychological and physical effects of political ambition. Hailed as a charity event, the proceeds will go to the Kiwanis Down Syndrome Foundation. This musical theatre production is directed by Pat Chan. MacBeth: A Musical Theatre will be on at 12pm and 7pm at Taylor’s University Lakeside Campus, 1 Jalan Taylors, Subang Jaya. La Traviata 
Known as one of the best-loved Italian operas, La Traviata is the tale of a Parisian courtesan who sacrifices everything for love. Composed by Giuseppe Verdi, La Traviata will be presented in Kuala Lumpur by Dama International Opera and features an international cast of singers and theatre production crew. This production is shorter than its original length at 75 minutes, and will be performed in Italian with an English narration.
