KUALA LUMPUR: WCT Holdings Bhd has bagged subcontract works worth RM282.57 million from IJM Construction Sdn Bhd for the construction and completion of several packages of the 276-km West Coast Expressway (WCE) from Taiping to Banting.

In a filing with Bursa Malaysia yesterday, the construction firm said its wholly-owned subsidiary WCT Bhd had on Nov 16 accepted the subcontract works from IJM Construction, which will be completed in 36 months.

WCT said the works involve Package Works for Section 3,4,5,8 & 9 (SC/WCES3/2015/002): Privatisation of WCE (Taiping–Banting) Section 3-Shah Alam Expressway Interchange to New Klang Valley Expressway/Federal Highway Route 2 Interchange.

WCT (fundamental: 0.45; valuation: 1.4) closed up four sen or 2.99% to RM1.38 yesterday, giving it a market capitalisation of RM1.65 billion.
