Envisioned as “Kuala Lumpur’s first vertical community that puts wellness at the centre of everything we do”, the 28-acre integrated township SkyArena in Setapak boasts not only residential and commercial components but also a sports complex that is poised to be one of the largest, if not the largest, in Kuala Lumpur.

Developed SkyWorld Development Group, SkyArena is a RM2.9 billion project that will be launched in four phases — three residential and one commercial. Phase 1, Ascenda Residences, was launched in 2014 and the units have been handed over to the buyers since September 2017.

The developer launched Phase 2 — Bennington Residences — in 2016 with bigger units than in Phase 1. The phase has since been completed and the handover began last month.

SkyArena in Setapak’s main feature is its 9.4-acre sports complex, which is slated for completion the first quarter of next year. It will offer comprehensive sports facilities, such as an Olympic-size swimming pool, board diving, scuba diving, indoor rock climbing, indoor futsal, track and field, a sports medical centre and a café.

Bennington Residences

As the second phase of the township, Bennington Residences also comes with a variety of amenities that encourage a well-balanced and healthy lifestyle within the city. It has a total of 42 facilities on four levels, including an infinity loop pool, a triplex sky lounge and a triplex sky gym.

Other facilities at Bennington Residences are a rainforest terrace, boardwalk, function hall, tea garden, reflexology garden, garden gymnasium, Jacuzzi, conference room, sky spa and sky theatre.

There is also a two-acre rainforest-themed welcome lounge to inspire community interaction and relaxation. The design of the condos, which incorporates a spacious lanai balcony, is meant for maximum appreciation of the outdoors.

The 2.69-acre Bennington Residences offers a total of 580 units in two 40-storey towers. Available in five different layouts with built-ups that range from 1,092 to 1,570 sq ft, these units have at least three bedrooms and two bathrooms.

Targeted at the residents of Kuala Lumpur and the Setapak neighbourhood, especially those aged 26 to 60, some of the units are also of the dual-key kind that allows multi-generational living. The design is also suitable for property investors or couples looking to rent out part of their property without the constraints of affordability.

Some 80% of the total units have been taken up to date and the remaining units are now priced at RM750,000 onwards.

Bennington Residences is also available under Maybank Islamic’s HouzKEY, an easy homeownership plan under which buyers can purchase the units at a minimal initial cost and pay low monthly instalments for the first five years.
