KUALA LUMPUR (Feb 27): ACE-market-listed Visdynamics Holdings Bhd has been issued an unusual market activity (UMA) query from Bursa Malaysia, after its share price rallied to a near three-year high of 66 sen.

This was the highest it has been since its share price peaked at 77 sen on April 25, 2014.

In just 20 days, Visdynamics shares have gained 40% from 47 sen on Feb 8.

At 2.38pm, the stock pared some gains and was trading at 64 sen, with 5.73 million shares transacted.

In a filing, the regulator drew attention to the "sharp rise in price" of the company's shares recently.

Visdynamics is required to reply to Bursa's UMA query on whether any unannounced corporate development, rumours or reports may account for the unusual trading activity.

The company is involved in the design of back-end semiconductor equipment, which are used to test, inspect and transfer semiconductors at a high speed.

At its current price, Visdynamics has a market capitalisation of RM71.95 million.
