KUALA LUMPUR (March 29): VietJet, Vietnam’s first airline to operate as a new-age airline with low cost and diversified services, will operate its Ho Chi Minh City(HCMC)-Kuala Lumpur (KL) route from June 1, 2016.

In a statement today, VietJet said its HCMC-KL route will operate on a daily basis, taking one hour 55 minutes per leg.

The flight takes off from Tan Son Nhat International Airport at 9:30hrs and arrives in Kuala Lumpur at 12:25hrs local time. The return flight will depart Kuala Lumpur at 13:00hrs and arrive in Ho Chi Minh City at 13:55hrs local time.

VietJet said it had recently launched a promotion of  250,000 tickets priced from US$0 from March 16-18, 2016 to welcome the new route.

The promotion was open for the airline’s all international routes from Ho Chi Minh City to Kuala Lumpur, Seoul, Taipei, Singapore, Bangkok and Yangon and from Hanoi to Seoul and Bangkok.

Travel time for the promotion will be from June 1 - Dec 31, 2016 for HCMC–KL route; and from March 31 - Dec 31, 2016 for the remaining routes.

Payment can be easily made with Visa, MasterCard, JCB, American Express, and ATM cards issued by 24 Vietnam banks that have been registered with internet banking.

VietJet was declared “Best Asian Low Cost Carrier” at the TTG Travel Awards 2015, which compiles votes from travelers, travel agencies and tour operators in Asia.

The airline was also rated as one of the top three fastest-growing airline brands on Facebook in the world by Socialbakers.
