<div class=newsTextDataWrapInner><p>The operation — under its unit Unisem Chengdu Co Ltd — was halted from last Sunday (Feb 2) and will last until Feb 9, it said in a filing to Bursa Malaysia.</p></div>

<div class=newsTextDataWrapInner><p>Unisem Chengdu hires some 2,000 employees for the operation of one packaging and testing facility, as well as one of its two wafer bumping facilities, according to Unisem's latest annual report.</p></div><div class=inPageAd id=div-gpt-ad-inpage></div>

<div class=newsTextDataWrapInner><p>The group's other operations are located in Ipoh and in Batam, Indonesia.</p></div>
