<div class=newsTextDataWrapInner><p>Unisem Chengdu hires some 2,000 employees for the operation of one packaging and testing facility, as well as one of its two wafer -bumping facilities, according to Unisem’s latest annual report.</p></div>

<div class=newsTextDataWrapInner><p>The group’s other operations are located in Ipoh and in Batam, Indonesia.</p></div>

<div class=newsTextDataWrapInner><p>Unisem shares slid four sen or 1.8% to RM2.18 yesterday, giving it a market capitalisation of RM1.6 billion.</p></div>
