UMW’s Badrul Feisal passes away

KUALA LUMPUR (June 1): UMW Holdings Bhd president and group chief executive officer (CEO) Badrul Feisal Abdul Rahim passed away yesterday.

In a tweet yesterday, Permodalan Nasional Berhad (PNB) president and group chief executive Jalil Rasheed said he was saddened and shocked to receive news of Badrul Feisal’s passing.

According to UMW’s website, Badrul Feisal had served as the president & group CEO of UMW Group since his appointment on Oct 1, 2015.

It said he joined UMW Group as senior general manager at President & Group CEO's office in December 2010 and was appointed as the Acting Executive Director for the UMW Oil & Gas Division from April 2011 to December 2011.

He was also the Executive Director of Group Corporate Development Division before being appointed Group Chief Operating of UMW in January 2013.

Badrul Feisal had been involved in the senior management and directorship of established organisations such as Khazanah Nasional Berhad, Proton Holdings Bhd, Lotus and the DRB-Hicom Group of companies.

He was an Adjunct Professor at the Manufacturing Engineering Centre of Learning , University Malaysia Perlis, and a member of UniKL Industrial Advisory Board of University Kuala Lumpur.
