KUALA LUMPUR (Dec 21): ATA IMS Bhd’s subsidiary ATA Components Sdn Bhd (ATC) announced that two employees have tested positive for Covid-19 and are now undergoing treatment at government hospitals

According to a filing with Bursa Malaysia today, ATC is a manufacturer of wire harness, and not only are its contributions less than 1% of the group’s revenue, but also its operations are separate from the group’s other business premises.

ATC has temporarily stopped operations from Dec 16 for sanitization of the premises and PCR testing of immediate close contacts and technical staff, while the rest of the workers were quarantined.

Under the Ministry of Health's (MoH) instruction, ATC will be closed from Dec 18 to 24, for cleaning and disinfection, and all workers will undergo Covid-19 testing.

ATA IMS said it will continue to adhere to strict Covid-19 preventive measures, and closely cooperate with the MoH and relevant authorities to enhance the group’s Covid-19 preventive standard operating procedures for all its operating premises to ensure the safety and well-being of the employees.

Shares of ATA IMS closed unchanged at RM2.32, valuing it at RM2.79 billion. Year to date, the stock grew by 33% from RM1.74.
