KUALA LUMPUR (July 13): Tune Protect Bhd’s group chief executive officer (CEO) Khoo Ai Lin (pix) has resigned from her position to pursue new opportunities.

The resignation will take effect on July 31, the group said in a stock exchange filing today. Khoo, 51, was appointed to the post on Jan 15, 2019.

Khoo joined the group in 2017 as CEO of Tune Protect Malaysia Bhd, a subsidiary of Tune Protect.

Prior to joining the Tune Protect, Khoo held some positions in other insurance companies including chief marketing officer of Prudential Assurance Malaysia Bhd and general manager of bancassurance in Hong Leong Assurance Bhd

Tune Protect shares closed one sen or 3.03% lower at 32 sen today, bringing a market capitalisation of RM240.56 million. Some 1.28 million shares were traded.

Year to date, the stock has fallen 44% from when it was trading at 57 sen on Dec 31, 2019.
