KUALA LUMPUR: Tropicana Corp Bhd expects to unveil the first commercial component of its integrated development Tropicana Metropark in October.

The spokesman, however, declined to share details of the project at press time.

The commercial lots will be the third phase of the RM7.2 billion, 88-acre (35.61ha) freehold Tropicana Metropark in Subang Jaya, Selangor, which is being developed in five phases.

To date, 98% of units in Tropicana Metropark’s first phase, Pandora Serviced Residences, have been sold, while the second phase, Paloma Serviced Residences and Courtyard Villas, is 70% taken up.

Pandora Serviced Residences, which was the first residential component introduced within the integrated development, was launched in 2013, and has a gross development value (GDV) of RM365 million.

It comprises 627 units of studio, two- and three-bedroom apartments within a 25-storey tower. Built-ups of the units range from 599 sq ft to 1,288 sq ft.

Pandora Residences is under construction and will be completed in 2016.

Meanwhile, Paloma Services Residences and Courtyard Villas has a cumulative GDV of RM465 million. It comprises two serviced residential towers with a total of 587 units.

The units have built-ups from 609 sq ft to 1,309 sq ft. The launch price of the units starts from RM650,000.

Courtyard Villas consist of 16 duplex units with built-ups from 2,400 sq ft to 2,674 sq ft.

Tropicana Corp hosted a bazaar in Tropicana Metropark on Aug 15, in a bid to transform the project into a community hub. The bazaar was held at Tropicana Metropark’s 9.2-acre Central Park.

“This is our first bazaar and we are very grateful to receive such an encouraging response. More than 500 patrons turned out to visit our one-day bazaar. We had 40 vendors offering a multitude of wares from fashionable knick-knacks, handicrafts to food and beverages,” said Tropicana Corp head of marketing and sales Ung Lay Ting in a statement on Aug 21.

“Given the good turnout and encouraging response from our patrons, we will be hosting another exciting bazaar,” she added. — theedgeproperty.com
