KUALA LUMPUR (Nov 6): Top Glove Corp Bhd will be giving RM185 million to the government as part of its contribution to help the country combat the Covid-19 virus.

The glove maker confirmed this when contacted by The Edge, following Finance Minister Tengku Datuk Seri Zafrul Aziz's announcement in his Budget 2021 speech today that four glove companies had expressed their commitment to contributing RM400 million to combat Covid-19.

The money will cover part of the cost of vaccines and health equipment expenses, the minister said.

The companies are Top Glove, Hartalega Holdings Bhd, Supermax Corp Bhd, and Kossan Rubber Industries Bhd.
