KUALA LUMPUR (June 27): Tomei Consolidated Bhd plans to establish an Islamic medium term notes programme of up to RM150 million in nominal value based on the shariah principle of murabahah via tawarruq arrangement.

In a bourse filing, the company said the sukuk murabahah programme will have a tenure of 25 years from the date of first issuance.

"The sukuk murabahah programme accords the issuer the flexibility to issue secured or unsecured sukuk murabahah from time to time," it added.

Public Investment Bank Bhd has been appointed as the principal adviser/lead arranger/lead manager, while Amanie Advisors Sdn Bhd is the shariah adviser.

Tomei's share price settled 1.1% or one sen higher at 92 sen, bringing a market capitalisation of RM127.5 million.
