KUALA LUMPUR (Jan 22): Tenaga Nasional Bhd's (TNB) foreign shareholding fell to 12.87% as at Dec 31, 2020 from 13.81% as at end-November 2020, according to the Malaysian government-controlled utility's latest updates on overseas investors' ownership of the company's shares.

The December and November 2020 updates, which were published on TNB's website on Monday (Jan 18, 2021), showed that its latest foreign shareholding figures had fallen from 17.62% as at end-February 2020.

The January 2020 figure was however not available. End-December 2019 foreign shareholding stood at 18.42%, according to the company's update on Jan 9, 2020.

On Bursa Malaysia today, TNB's share price closed down 10 sen or 1.01% at RM9.78 for a market capitalisation of about RM55.65 billion based on the company's total number of issued shares at 5.69 billion.

The stock saw 9.68 million shares traded today.
