KUALA LUMPUR (Oct 7): Theta Edge Bhd, whose share price has continued to climb after hitting limit up on Wednesday (Oct 6), said it has been actively pursuing new projects in the ordinary course of business, and that these are still in discussion, evaluation and/or pending decision, in response to an unusual market activity (UMA) query from Bursa Malaysia.

In a bourse filing Thursday, Theta Edge said it would make the necessary announcements in compliance with its obligations under Bursa's listing requirements, if the projects are successfully secured.

Other than that, the company said it was not aware of any other report, rumour or any other possible explanation that might account for the unusual trading activity seen.

The group's share price surged 39 sen or 23.64% to RM2.04 on Thursday — its highest point in about 11 years —  after 43.11 million shares were traded. It jumped 38 sen or 29.92% a day earlier. Year to date, the stock has jumped over 170%.
