KUALA LUMPUR: Thai developer Sansiri will launch four residential products this weekend. They are The Base Park East and The Base Rama 9 in Bangkok, and The Base Uptown and Dcondo Creek in Phuket Island. The Base Park East will be completed by the fourth quarter of 2015, while the rest of the developments have been completed.

“Malaysians have developed an appetite for foreign [properties],” said Lim Eng Chong, director of Henry Butcher Malaysia, which is the marketing agent for Sansiri.

“We believe there is a category of investors who would like to invest overseas but not in Australia and London due to budgetary constraints and the distance. We believe places such as Bangkok and Phuket are familiar with Malaysians. Also, prices are affordable at around RM300,000 to RM500,000. Thailand is politically stable now and the country is looking to move the economy forward with new projects.”

The Base Park East is a 27-storey condo with 1- and 2-bedroom units going for RM229,000 to RM405,000. The Base Rama 9 features a 35-storey condo with studio, 1-bedroom and 2-bedroom units starting from RM230,000.

The Base Uptown has three 7-storey buildings with 1-bedroom and 2-bedroom units selling from RM259,000. The Dcondo Creek project has four 8-storey blocks offering studio and 2-bedroom units from RM195,000.

Full details of each project will be available at the launch, starting tomorrow at One World Hotel, Petaling Jaya.
