KUALA LUMPUR (Aug 11): The Tesla Semi electric truck with 500 miles of range is going to start shipping this year, according to chief executive officer Elon Musk.
In a tweet on Wednesday (Aug 10), Musk said: “Tesla's 500-mile-range Semi truck starts shipping this year, Cybertruck next year."
Following the unveiling of the Tesla Semi in 2017, the company first guided a start of production in 2019.
However, this was delayed several times, but in the summer of 2020, Musk said that “it’s time to bring the Tesla Semi to volume production”.
