KUALA LUMPUR (Jan 20): Technology counters and structured warrants on Bursa Malaysia topped the gainers list in the morning session today.

Shares in Pentamaster Corp Bhd as well its structured warrants CB (Warrants CB) were among the top 10 gainers.

At 12.30pm, Pentamaster shares reached an all-time high of RM5.07 — up 7.19% or 34 sen — giving it a market capitalisation of RM2.4 billion. The group's counter saw 2.3 million shares traded.

Meanwhile, Pentamaster's Warrants CB rose 26.14% or 11.5 sen to 55.5 sen, with 15,000 units traded.

Another top gainer was Vitrox Corp Bhd, which hit an all-time high of RM9.31, giving it a market capitalisation of RM4.39 billion. The counter rose 2.65% or 24 sen, with 235,600 shares traded.

KESM Industries Bhd gained 1.94% or 20 sen to RM10.5, with 25,700 shares traded.

Frontken Corp Bhd's Warrants CB rose 62.86% or 11 sen to 28.5 sen, with a total of 1,000 warrants traded.

It is also worth noting that RHB Investment Bank's call warrants for Hong Kong-listed technology firm Xiaomi Corp were up 130% or 13 sen at 23 sen per warrant, with its trading volume standing at 4.35 million.

The Technology Index also gained 1.11% or 0.45 points to 40.87 points, the highest since October 2018.
