KUALA LUMPUR (Oct 30): Malindo Air experienced a slight glitch in ground operations at the Kuala Lumpur International Airport on Oct 27, causing a delay for its flight bound for Tamil Nadu's Tiruchirappalli city, also known as Trichy.

In a statement, the airline said the delay, due to technical defects to its aircraft, caused arguments between its ground operations staff and some passengers.

“Upon discovering the technical glitch, standard operating procedures were carried out by our highly-trained technical crew and engineers to ensure the airworthiness of the aircraft.

“Malindo Air takes the wellbeing and safety of our passengers very seriously. We have taken extra measures to ensure the smooth sailing of our flight operations and this incident is deeply regretted,” Malindo Air said, adding that the delayed flight departed on a new scheduled time, and food and accommodation were provided during the delay.

It said the airline deeply regret the inconvenience caused by the delay and a thorough investigation would be carried out by Malindo Air on the cause of the incident.
