KUALA LUMPUR (Aug 14): Technology-related stocks were active this morning, rising in tandem with the FBM KLCI, which staged a mild technical rebound early today, after it had lost over 10 points last Friday.

Most active was Dagang Nexchange Bhd, which offers IT solutions and eServices, apart from its oil and gas-related activities. 

The counter had seen 26.33 million shares traded as at 11.00 am, gaining 0.5 sen or 1.11% to trade at 45.5 sen per share.

Also up were MTouche Technology Bhd which had gained 3.85% or 1.5 sen to 40.5 sen per share, and M-Mode Bhd, which had risen 3.45% or 3 sen to trade at 34.5 sen apiece.

My EG Services Bhd and Compugates Holdings Bhd remained unchanged, after seeing 6.02 million shares and 5.5 million shares traded respectively

Other active counters that had gained were Aemulus Holdings Bhd by 2.59% to 59.5 sen, Managepay Systems Bhd by 2.04% to 25 sen, and Systech Bhd by 4.05% to 38.5 sen.

The FBM KLCI had picked up in morning trade, rising 2.82 points to 1,769.79 points, after hovering in the red last week, when it was dragged down by negative sentiment, due to geopolitical tensions between US and North Korea.

Regionally, Asian shares rose in line with Wall Street, after declining for three sessions, Reuters reported.
