KUALA LUMPUR (July 29): Malaysians have extended their support to Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin on his personal Facebook page today, moments after he uploaded a statement responding to his removal as deputy prime minister.

The statement had been liked by over 145,000 people and shared more than 34,000 times.

Many expressed their support for Muhyiddin and some also critised Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak for removing his deputy and advised the former DPM to take on Najib in the next Umno elections.

Najib is the ruling Malay party president while Muhyiddin is his deputy.

Azizi Hashim consoled Muhyiddin, telling him that he has the backing of those who believed in him.

"YOU ARE NOT ALONE! Persidangan Agong Umno ada TSMY....kasi lawan jawatan Presiden," he wrote in using Muhyiddin's initial. (You are not alone, the next Umno assembly has TSMY, fight for the president's post).

A Facebook user known as Ash Rule commented this: "Baik xde jawatan dari xde maruah" (It is better to go without a job than without pride) while another person with the username Keyrol Xtuned advised Muhyiddin to be patient.

"Bersabarlah TSMY.. Sesungguhnya Allah akan memakbulkan doa umat2Nya yg teraniaya.. 1 Malaysia dah tahu siapa yg salah siapa yg benar.. bertabahlah Tan Sri".
(Patience TSMY, Allah will fulfil the prayers of its believers who are persecuted... one whole Malaysia knows who is right who is wrong, be strong Tan Sri).

Baharinshah Borhan encouraged the former deputy prime minister to continue with his struggles, writing: "Terus kan perjuangan TSMY....... sy akan berdoa yg terbaik utk Tan Sri...... (Continue with your fight TSMY, I will pray for the best for Tan Sri) while Mohd Irfan noted that Malaysian voters will have the power to vote out Najib at the next general election, which is only due by 2018.

"Najib ada kuasa singkirkan menteri-menteri yang lain, tapi kita yang rakyat ni ada kuasa untuk singkirkan najib pada pru akan datang nanti. Insyallah" (Najib has the power to remove other ministers, but we as the rakyat have the power to remove Najib in the next general election.)

Iqbal Zharif  wrote: "Kami nak PM baru, bukan TPM baru. Kami rakyat Malaysia sentiasa pada pihak yang benar, kami bersama Tan Sri!". (We want new PM, not a new TPM. We Malaysians are always with the right party, we are with Tan Sri!).

Iman Jay wrote that despite losing his post, Muhyiddin earned huge respect from Malaysians.

"Hari ini Tan sri hilang jawatan tapi Tan Sri tidak pernah hilang maruah dan rasa hormat rakyat seluruh Malaysia," he said. (Today Tan Sri lost his job but Tan Sri had never lost the dignity and respect from all Malaysians). – The Malaysian Insider
