KUALA LUMPUR (Aug 26): Glove manufacturer Supermax Corp Bhd's unit Supermax Healthcare Canada has announced a partnership with Minco Wholesale & Supply Inc under an agreement, which will see Minco distributing products of the Canadian manufacturer in North America.

This includes rubber gloves and masks, besides non-woven cotton medical products, according to a Thursday (Aug 25) evening joint statement by Minco and Supermax Healthcare Canada.

"Amongst the healthcare and personal protective products manufactured by Supermax Healthcare Canada Group and now included for your benefit in the Minco Supply catalog, are several new models of quality protective exam grade nitrile, vinyl and latex gloves, non-woven & cotton medical products, protective apparel including isolation gowns, bouffant caps, hairnets, balaclavas, and shoe covers as well as several new models of protective masks extensively used in the hospital, long term care and clinic settings.

"Some of the most popular products included in the offering are [Supermax Healthcare Canada's] Aurelia® Ignite Nitrile Gloves, Aurelia® Robust Nitrile Gloves, Aurelia® Transform Nitrile Gloves, Aurelia® Bold and Bold Max Nitrile Gloves, Aurelia® Delight PF Vinyl Gloves, and Aurelia® Vibrant Latex Gloves," the statement said.

According to Supermax Healthcare Canada's website, the company is Supermax Corp's division based out of Malaysia.

"Supermax [Corp] currently exports to over 160 countries worldwide in the regions of America, Europe, Middle East, Asia and the South Pacific.

"As an own-brand manufacturer, Supermax [Corp] has developed a range of successful brands such as Supermax, Aurelia and Maxter which are trusted and recognised by laboratories, hospitals, pharmacists, doctors and surgeons around the world," Supermax Healthcare Canada said.

At Bursa Malaysia on Friday (Aug 26), Supermax Corp's share price fell 0.5 sen or 0.66% at 4.08pm to 75.5 sen for a market value of about RM1.99 billion.

Supermax Corp has 2.64 billion outstanding shares, according to the company's latest quarterly financial statements.
