KUALA LUMPUR (June 18): Super Enterprise Holdings Bhd jumped as much as 10% after the adhesive label maker received a takeover offer from a US-based company.

Yesterday, Super (fundamental: 2.2, valuation: 1.4) told Bursa Malaysia it received the takeover offer from Multi-Color Corp at RM3.80 a share.

Today, Super shares rose to its highest so far today at RM3.65. At 11.35am, the stock reduced gains at RM3.59, making it the third-largest gainer across the bourse.

Some 1.5 million shares changed hands.

Multi-Color, which does not own any Super shares at the moment, does not intend to maintain Super's listing on Bursa Malaysia.

Multi-Color's RM3.80 offer for Super compares with Super's latest reported net assets per share of RM2.41.
